This page covers what we collect when you use CallVerifier, why we keep it, and how to get it back or have it deleted. It applies to anyone visiting our site or signed in to the dashboard - in India and elsewhere.
1. Who we are
The company responsible for your data is the CallVerifier entity named in your order, invoice, or agreement. If you need to send a privacy request, use the email on our contact page.
2. What we collect
Depending on how you use the product, that usually includes:
- Account details - your name, work email, company, role, and the credentials you sign in with.
- Billing details - billing contact, invoice references, and the transaction history that goes with them. Card details are handled by our payment processors, not us directly.
- Usage and technical data - log entries, browser and device info, IP address, approximate location, and timing data we need to keep the product running and secure.
- Work you do inside the product - phone numbers you verify, SMS test metadata, screenshots, support tickets. We only keep what is needed to run the workflow you set up.
We do not sell personal profiles to other companies for their own marketing.
3. Why we process it (India)
We use personal data so we can:
- Run the product, secure it, and keep improving it.
- Send you onboarding, service, and security messages, plus product updates when you have opted in.
- Meet our legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.
- Enforce the terms, investigate misuse, and protect everyone using the platform.
Where the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) applies, we follow it - including the notice, purpose limitation, and rights bits described below.
4. Who we share it with
We share data only when there is a clear reason to:
- Hosting, email, analytics, and security vendors that process data on our instructions.
- Telecom and messaging partners - but only what is needed to route or complete the verification you started.
- Lawyers, auditors, or authorities, where we are required to or where it is needed to protect our interests.
- A buyer, in the event of a merger or asset sale, with appropriate safeguards in place.
Vendors we work with are contractually required to protect your data and to use it only for what we tell them to.
5. International transfers
If data leaves India, we use standard contractual clauses (or another approved mechanism) so it stays protected.
6. How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as we have a reason to - usually the legal, accounting, or dispute window. Technical logs roll over on shorter cycles unless we need them for a security investigation.
7. Security
We use a mix of administrative, technical, and organisational controls to protect your data. No system is fully secure, so we keep iterating to reduce risk.
8. Your rights
Subject to the law that applies to you, you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict what we do with it, or move it elsewhere. If we are processing on consent, you can pull that consent at any time (without affecting what came before). You can also complain to a supervisory authority.
To make a request, write to us via the contact page. We may need to confirm your identity first.
9. Cookies
See the cookie policy for what we store on your device.
10. Children
The product is not built for children, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
11. Changes
If we update this page, the Last updated date at the top will change. For larger changes we will give you a heads-up.
